I have about 200 of these brand new... will they work for spade fish,,, I've never fished for these guys and this year will be my fist time... I'm sure a longer shank would be better,, but will I have any problems with these. I believe they are a size #6....

Thanks:helpsmilie::helpsmilie:

I usually use a 2/0 Gamagatsu or Owner. #6 is pretty small.

LEEEEETLE hooks, extra strenth, snelled, or tyed directly to braid, just enough clam to cover hook, hold on, and laugh your a$$ off when the first timer gets his stuff bent all over the gunnel and he's yell'n, whadda I do! Have fun!

My first instinct is to say they are too small, but all hook sizes aren't created equal, so to be certain I would have to see it next to something I knew. My next concern would be straightening it out. I have totally straightened 2/0 2X strong hooks trying to whoa a fish up to keep it away from the tower.

I use a size two Mustad. Never had one straighten out. Of course I don't crank my drag down either.
