I had the day off so me and a buddy headed down to the Broad river in Beaufort for some Cobia.
Ended up with two small fish in the box, released another one that was under 33" and pulled thew hook on another that was small.
All fish were caught on squid.

The bad news is that it was so ruff in the river that the boat beside us sank with two people in it.
Had to go pick them up and carry them back to the boat ramp. The lady that was in the boat couldn't swim, but thank god she had on her life jacket! She was a little shaken up but was fine.
The coast guard came by to check it out, but we were back on the anchor and had lines in the water by the time they got there.
The rescue squad came and got the boat.

I'll be coming down next friday thru monday from Va. to fish around the Beaufort area. Is the Cobia bite still on? I missed it last year and have been occupied with Stripers in the Bay for the last several months.

Any info is greatly appreciated,

Need some advice. We are going to Edito Island in August. Any good fishing areas? We have gone fishing down there with not much luck. Went out of Charleston and came back with a bunch of Tuna and Red Snapper a few years ago, but with the fuel prices would like to stay near Edisto. Any advise would be appreciated.:helpsmilie:
