Fished below the Amtrac bridge along with 25 other boats. Had a steady pick of perch and under up with our 20 fish limit. Biggest fish of the day was a 4 lb cat.
Yes the Susquhanna River in Maryland. We were fishing in 65' of water last weekend but have been catching the Yellows in anywhere from 15'-65' of water for the past 5 weeks.
mgribbin 65 ' of water is deep sea fishing to us southern virginia boys.that is except for crappie and vj, :eek2: Our rivers down here run like 10 to 16 fow with deep holes like 30 to 40 fow. How do you fish for them in such a flucation of water colum? Do you just maintain a certain area like 4 to 6 foot off the bottom or do you try to fine them in a holding area somewhere inbetween the bottom and the surface? Just asking in that the deep water is new to me and I'm sure to some of the others.dohdancedance:high5::clapping2: (I love these things)
We've been jigging small tubes and sassy shads on the bottom. What I ment was sometimes we find good #'s and big fish in as little as only 15' of water. The main channel of the river is 80' deep in some spots.
