Found this little guy in the front of the house on Friday. Had one on the back porch Monday and one out by my neighbor's fig tree on Tuesday. Busy week. The green tail indicates that this is a baby copperhead and it's bite tends to be worse than an adult.

Cool Find! They give live birth, so Momma (and possibly daddy) is nearby.

And here I thought it was going to be just another picture of a common water snake. But dang, that is a copperhead! Can't tell how long it is from the pic. Looks pretty chubby though. Do you have an estimate of it's length?
