Looking to outfit new boat and I am curious to hear if you are using In-Hull type transducers and are you happy with the results?

I am looking to break away from transom mount because I have had issues in the past. Thru-Hull are good but I hate to cut a hole in the boat like that if I can avoid. Also keep boat on lift and want to avoid damage there also.

I had a Loweance X85 that used a shoot thru hull xducer. It worked ok to about 160'. Replaced it with a Furuno FCV-585 with a thru hull that works great to over 600'.

What type of boat are you putting it on? That matters.
