Anyone Been to Ketchikan Alaska, my wife and I are going on a cruise there next May.
I'm hoping to go Halibut and or Salmon fishing.
I'm checking several guides, top of the list so far is Bella Mist Charters with Captain Clayton Moore.
Please share your experience!
Thanks,

May 22, 2015 Fished with Captain Clayton Moore Bella Mist Charters.
43"er and 32"er both Under the limit anything over 44"s must be returned. Anything under 44 one fish per person. These fish were caught on a rise from 370' to 250' shelf. Had to move the hook twice to get near the edge of the break line.
Octopus caught the big fish and Herring the second.
It is still about 2 weeks early of the King Salmon and the Halibut are just beginning to show up.
Great weather the entire time we were there 7 day cruse and 5 days land.
Fish were processed at Cedar Lodge and will be shipped home flash frozen and vacuum sealed.
We began the trip land portion in Fairbanks, (Denali MT McKinley), Anchorage, Sea began-Seward, Haines, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Vancouver.
Bucket List and a dream come true to go to Alaska then catch a Halibut!

Great report. Iím glad you posted it. I have been thinking about a trip to AK for halibut and kings. I donít think Iíll do a cruse but will just find a lodge where I want to fish and fly up & rent a car.
