Hey man, I appreciate the info. I didn't even know the YP made their way around here (nor did I know for certain about the rockfish until a year or three ago and the shad a year or two before that), despite having lived in the area since 1992. So I guess our community is doing a decent job of suppressing the locals a bit. I work for the US Fish and Wildlife Service so I'm surrounded by conservationists, and I agree that we should lean off of threatened species. I'm just itching for some fishin' action (and eatin'). I may try to go out this weekend if we only get a foot or less. I've got a 14' canoe that I normally rig a trolling motor to. If it's snowing, I might just paddle. I'm familiar with the railroad bridge (I thought there was only one), but I'm unfamiliar with where I would put in down there. Normally I park under 123 and slide the canoe down the rocky shore just in front of the PRIVATE PROPERTY - NO PARKING sign on the right of the parking area beneath the bridge.
