As can be expected this time of year, it’s been very quiet on the North Carolina fishing scene.

The wind and water have been rough for anglers lately making the fish scarce. However, this weekend holds promise as the weather should be much milder. For those of you that haven’t had the chance, you should definitely get out on the water this weekend and try to catch some of the drum and skate that are lurking out there. Hopefully anglers will have better luck than what they’ve been experiencing lately – only time and Mother Nature will tell! ...

The better weather, calm days, and great fishing still seems to elude us. Surf anglers are catching some dog fish and drum but all in all the action is still slow!

The wind is here to stay, at least through the weekend. If it’s not the wind it’s something else. And, just when you thought we would actually get a break from Old Mother Nature…the next thing you know, there’s another nor’easter in the making!
