Jim,
Do you sell small crab traps and floats? Give me a price on purchasing 25 crab traps for recs along with the rope and floats. That trotline stuff is for the birds. It took us two hours to tie those chicken necks onto the line, then I had a heck of a time guiding the boat down the line and picking off the crabs. I am thinking if I had collapsable crab traps, I could probably do a lot better. The bad part is I have thirty collapsable crab traps in my basement. I looked at the MDDNR web site and they have a picture of my trap with a note saying these traps are illegal in the state of Maryland because they have a door that closes. Those were great traps. I used them for two years. You never had to worry about bringing up an empty one because of the float.
The crab traps you have in the front of your store are too big for me to handle. I could fit four of them in the front of my boat. If you have the smaller ones, they would probably fit much better on my boat and I could catch the crabs by myself rather than having a crew of three every time.
I can do the line tying and attaching the float to the line myself.
Thanks,
Joe
