    mroskam

I applaud your efforts(and the crew you were with), for your quick thinking, and compassion during such a distressing time. It is scary how many boats have gone down recently. I am so grateful for folks that step up and help others out in any situation on the water. Thank you for being there.

Did anyone ever retrieve your planners?
seems someone would have picked them up ...for you .

Its clear that you guys prevented about a half dozen Worst phone call anyone could every recieve.. What could have been VS what went down is the difference between a Bad Day on water and never seeing your kids again ...
What a Great turn out ... You fellas saved more than just fisherman ..

    Heroes in my book

Spoke with a friend who was running the cockpit and said everyone was fine and thankfull! He expressed his thanks to all, said by the time that knew something was wrong it took 3 minutes for her to go under. after we talked this morning it sounded like a raw water pump froze & cracked and it allowed water to enter the hull, when he lifted the hatch after running there was about 2' of water in the hull. he knew they were in trouble then! just a little f.y.i., this boat had been on a trailer and was just serviced, so everyone check your pumps and fittings with all this cold below freezing weather it has been playing hell with a lot of boats!

I just want to Thank all the members of the Bass Pro Mid Atlantic Fishing Team for their Professionalism and Perserverence involving the rescue we made of the four fishermen who's boat sank the first day of the tournament . The first guy leaped onto
our stern as we backed up to the sinking Blackwatch. The boat started to go down and then it fell over sideways and the Hardtop
missed our Port Gunnel by Approx. 10ft. The other 3 men went down and were in the water with no life vests on. Our Guys pulled Two Guys over the Port Gunnel, One Guy over the Starboard Gunnel and the Last one over the Stern, The last Guy was looking Really Bad. The Coast Guard Vessel and the VA Beach Marine Police Boat met us half way back to Rudee Inlet with an escort
as well as the Navy Helicopter Overhead, The DNR escorted us into Rudee. After unloading all the Guys we weighed in 81lbs
and they posted us on the Leader Board in 1st Place! The members of out Team were: Roy Tribble, Matt Roskam, Mike Lane, Dr Jason Schaffler- Marine Biologist, Capt. Jeff Snyder You Guys are The Best, Capt. Jeff Snyder
