Looking forward to the spring and early summer!!

I am looking forward to breaking out my light stuff for flounder in the river here in a few weeks if the weather stays warm. Not long after that the specks should be here and hopefully some fat blues and stripers on the flats as well. I am even looking forward to the Bull Island Billfish run "aka Houndfish"! But as much as I want some fat specks around I want some reds to show this year. I haven't seen any on the Poquoson Flats in 2 years. God knows I would like to have some reds here more for my son to catch some than anything else. Tight lines everyone.

For drifting the river this spring and casting the flats I am using my trout/redfish setup. I have 2500 Shimano saros spinner reels on 6'6" med/hev Back River Rods light tackle rods. I have a few other el'cheapos i carry when drifting just to have extra baits in the water.
