Was thinking about heading out to Mallows Bay next weekend to finally test out the new rod. Any ideas on where to fish and what baits lures to use. Also wanted to try and catch my first snakehead while i'm there.

Mallows is easy to fish from shore because its very small. You will see old ship wreaks so cast around those for Bass and Snakeheads. I dont know if the big Crappie are still there. Use any Bass lure. Its been a couple of weeks since I fished there so I dont know if the grass has come up. That could make it a little difficult from shore.
Did not know where Mallows Bay is and had to ck it out. Found a great link that tells the story. Gotta be a lot of fish there.
