    Default Redskins: Another early offseason

Well, I thought we had something going this year, I guess not. Make all your own excuses, but mine is that we left RG3 in too long. It was a good season while it lasted, but it would be nice to make a playoff run sometime soon. At least we get to watch the Caps play.

Shanahan should lose his job over this one. RG3 should have been taken out the first time he was hurt. They have a great back up QB in Curt Cousins. RG3 wanted to play but he is a 22 year old rookie and does not make those decisions. That is what coaches are for. Now RG3 has to have surgery and Shanahan should be surgically removed. It's easier for Dan Snyder to find a good coach than to find a good quarterback.............Gary

" Damn if you do and damn if you don't '' . He would have gotten criticized either way. A lot of mixed emotions at first on his decision, but now everyone's changing their tune. There's no doubt, he was a big reason for their success. I don't think he'll ever be the same dynamic QB again. Yea, he came back after his 2009 operation and won the Heisman, but this ain't college. He can still be good but he'll have to change the way he plays the game.

Like Gary said, Robert is a player and Shanahan is the coach, he needed to make the decision to pull him out when he got hurt, Cousins is a very good QB and has shown that so it should not have been a tough decision to take him out.

Don,t hang your heads to low fellows. The Skins were WAY better than in many a season. Just wait till next year. He is young a rookie and next year he will get better. He brought with him already most of his injury.

Just look at how many veteran running quarterbacks there are in the NFL, only a few and one, being Vick, is always getting injured.

We get old too soon and smart too late. RG3 has learned a valuable lesson this year. He will also know when to take himself out of a game instead of waiting on his coach. Young NASCAR drivers are hell on wheels too ........until they hit the wall at 200 mph...............Gary
