Get out there early and leave when you catch a bushel. Then after you get home figure out when your best time was and corrolate that with the tide/current for your area....

True, but its good to know, especially if you're not catching well, what the conditions are that you are crabbinng under. That should help you determine if a move is in order. I get concerned if I don't see much right after first light, regardless of tide.
