Its a shame there isn't more activity on the NE forum... Anyway, quick report:
I managed one late this morning off my kayak. I was fishing structure near shore in about 6-8'. It was on a spro bucktail with a white gulp swimming mullet. I was at 2.5hr after low tide. It was a thin 24", and registered between 2-3lb. It's my first 'real' fishing trip in the Long Island Sound so unofficially I'm 1/1 so far. Pretty tired, as it looks like it was about 7.5 miles for the day.
