Mike had a trip this morning, with a party of three. Today they had quality fish, not quantity. I really haven't got any details as I only talked to Mike for a few minutes.
Each one of his party caught a nice Striper on artificials. All three caught the biggest fish they had ever caught. I will try to get more details from Mike.
In looking at the pictures, I think I see Capt. Tom Hughes in the background.
Ele, As to be expected, Mike did better than the rest of us up there today. Was a tough day, three of us basically had a skunk with only a couple of small fish for 9 hours of fishing.
Jack, Mike as disappointed at only catching three, but his clients were very happy. Even though one fish each, it was their biggest fish ever.

Good work. It certainly was a "hard" day. Sandeel and I fly-fished on his new ride from 0600 until 1430 with narry a hit. Tried all colors and sizes of flies, weights of lines, and even poppers. Nada. Could have been that bananna that Sandeel brought on board. [sad][sad][sad]
We'll add one more crew to the skunkerooni! This is our third time out and our second skunking...almost skunking. We've taken to perch jerking a la Gerald to ward off the boredom[wink] and it's better than a total skunk.
What's weird is that we can catch fish just fine. But, this year, finding them has become the mark of the true experts!
Thanks for the report Ele. Looks like some nice fish!!
Thanks for the report Ele and sure looked like a beauty of a day on the flats. Congrats to Mike and crew on some nice fish[wink]
Ele, Thanks for the report and the bmail. We did not get into them yesterday. We did try so we ended up doing some perch fishing and the guys had a blast. 13 inches was the biggest.
Add another to the skunk list for Tuesday. Three guys x 12 hours = zero fish (I hate that equation!). Ele, caught on BAs?
nice report Ele..
you folks sure know how to fish the flats
