Started out early only to blow a tire in saluda. Had to wait until 0900 for west marine to open to buy a new one. Stayed in the river due to late start and could only manage a couple dink croaker ans 2 decent flouder for me and evan. Weighed in at norview. Tough day.
Nice going. Those fish should also be worth some good NNAC AOY points. I also tried for flounder on Sunday since it was one of the clubs targeted tournament species. The Smith Point area is no longer known for flounder, but there is always the chance to get surprised with one. None took my offerings of bluefish strips, squid, Mummichogs and bucktails. I spent most of the day giving it my best shot and ended up with just a few smaller Croaker.
Nice going on the flounder, Scott. I tried for flounder a couple hours without a bite before I decided that the heat was too much for me when I could be watching the golf on TV in air conditioned comfort. Your perseverance in the heat paid off with the flounder.

The joys of boat trailering. I've got more stories than I care to remember like yours. Only worse. I'll be down again this week. I hope they're biting better in a few days.
