I have a 23' Key West on a bunker trailer. I installed a Rocna anchor on the boat and a Drotto automatic latching system on the trailer.
The trailer is 13 years old and the wood bunkers are original. I put plastic over the bunkers and the boat slides on/off with ease.
When driving the boat onto the trailer, the front bunkers deflect/bend down and the anchor contacts the Drotto.
I am considering replacing the front bunkers with bunkers twice the thickness to minimize deflection. Of course the bunker brackets attaching bolts would need to be adjusted to maintain proper height.
Do you think this will solve the problem? Do you have other solutions?
Thanks.
