Hello all,
I want to mount my 50" TV over the fireplace. However, when I went to find studs or brick in the wall, it seems to be a false chimney breast. I can find nothing but hollow wall. This is a rental, but with plenty of existing wall damage (Dozens and dozens of wall anchors, for instance. Previous tenent must not have owned a stud finder). Should I cut a hole in the wall to find the real structural wall? Build something in front of the false wall? Glue a piece of plywood over the wall directly behind where the tv will be and attach the tv to that?
Thanks in advance for any advice you might have!
