    Default Angler's is hiring

I stopped by Angler's yesterday and saw Help Wanted sign. ( No April fool joke ).

It was on bulletin board - you can apply on line on Anglers website.

Might be fun part time job or summer time job.
They say that life's a carousel - spinning fast, you've got to ride it well.

I stopped in Anglers last Friday after a long hiatus. They've really revamped/improved the interior, the staff are extraordinarily helpful and professional. I was impressed. The place has improved by leaps and bounds over the years. It's no longer a crusty bait shop; it now strikes me as a genuinely professional place to work.

I wholeheartedly agree that the customer service now is light years from the past. I am a bit sad to see them devote more room to booze and tshirts than fishing gear however. I get it- its a business, so I can't argue with that, but I liked it when they had more stuff. One example- they used to have a nice little fly fishing/tying section. No longer.

Since the move from the Dena (Fishbones) to Whitehall Bay area Anglers has become my go to spot. Good people and merchandise will keep me coming back. Would like to get my 15 year old a part time job there for the summer.

They still sell flies. I sold them some for stripers and trout last Summer.

Damn! I wish that I was retired. I might have to go for it. Too many years remaining in this lucrative salt mine that I call "work"...
