Funny how quiet things get when the crabbing is on fire.

Told everybody earlier, just wait til the salt goes up and they will be here.

If you can’t catch them now, better look for a different hobby.

Gonna be a great second half and Fall.

New moon flood tides will push them into the rivers all night, then outgoing tides will drive them to feed all morning.

This is the week you've been waiting for... get 'em while the gettin's good.

Hammered em 2 weeks ago, Friday 19th and again last Thurs. It’s all about the salt and rain.

Starting June first, we are 15” below where we were last year and right now only 1/4” above normal for the year.

Thomas Point is almost double the salt levels from a month or so ago.

was going to run a trotline on Saturday, but the crabbing was so good right from the dock that I didn't bother with the work. got 2 dozen nice keepers after sorting through about 70-80 crabs in only a couple hours. Had 8 strings with necks and had multiples the whole time. Kids never had a chance to get bored. 4-6 feet of water on falling tide. We used to have commercial guys setting up off our dock most of the past few years. This year hardly at all. Happy to have the crabs to ourselves.

It is not always like this, so will celebrate while I can.

    Good luck!

    Badger
