Regarding the Costco product https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_ocean_perch
Just went to Costco at White Marsh. They don't carry it there.
Fishing can be anything you want it to be
Banded rudder whitting...
VP- We caught them in Lower Potomac(Tall Timbers) for 40 years. Parents owned a river home in TT. Would never catch a ton like white perch, spot, croakers but caught our share. An older gentleman would take us kids fishing and he called them King William perch. Google didn't yield on that. Anyway, for a panfish were feisty enough, good table fare although softer meat than white perch.Definitely are not a sand/silver trout because I have caught ate 100's of them in Fl. I used to LOVE blowfish, blowtoads, puffers, suger toads, chicken o' the sea etc. lol, we would catch Metal potato chip containers(b4 palstic bucket phase) full enough to need to pop 'em for more room, lol. Occasional catch/eat here in Fla. but people are afraid to eat them "POISON-Will KILL YOU!!" =
"Cool deal, more for me!!"
Thank you Dougeeboy! This thread is 9 months old and I remember the fish that I caught were very small and boney and I hav ent caught another one since lol. Your picture makes me very hungry lol.
