    Default crabbing effort 10/13/2019

Hello All; Yes I'm still alive-I took a long time friend Paula Jenkins out for her first time running the trot line, BTW She did an awesome job for her first time, Son Bryan and Grandsons Ryan and Colin. we used the 1000ft trot line and one collapsible trap baited with fresh chicken necks we caught some real nice fat & full fall crabs 35 total started at 7:55-11:15 we ran the high flood tide 8-10ft water-water temps 64 degrees biggest on was a 1/8"shy of 8" and two were 7-3/4" and the rest were 6-1/2 to 7" Might try one more outing-weather will dictate that!

    Wow nice job!

We have had bad flooding down south in St. Mary's, which has slowed the crabbing up.

    Thanks for the post.

Way to go. Heard some rumors of good crabs deeper in the 15’ range with the temps dropping. Did you try deeper at all?

Columbus Day weekend has always been one of my favorite for the end of the year monsters.

Don’t know how much more time we have left.........

Start praying for a milder winter now so the cold doesn’t kill them and let’s pick up next year where we are ending now.
