Happy Thanksgiving to you all..

I remember this day the past few years has yielded calm waters with a bounty of rockfish; sadly today looks like its a blow out and only for hardcore anglers..

I went out yesterday taking advantage of the calm and warm day and was richly rewarded with fish on nearly every cast. We worked the drop offs north of windmill pt sandbar from the pound nets off Cedars to just west of the light. Caught fish under the working birds. Since they were predominantly terns I cast light plastic tails and caught fish on average around 23'. bait they were feeding on was mostly those little shiners with some schools of small menhaden mixed in.

Water temp was 49 f depth 14' - 25'. Outgoing tide.
