You can land ocean caught fish anywhere. The regulation for stripers is unique in that it says "while fishing".

And yes Rudee is in the coastal waters so if you were to happen to catch a legal sized striper inside rudee you could keep it. Also you could have have coastal stripers in the box and fish for specks on the way back.

Went off Cape Henry yesterday looking for whales, nada. Dragged a couple stretches and mojos while there. A fair number of marks and bait pods but no takers. Occasional gannet.

Thanks. The weather on Wednesday is looking good! I might use it as an excuse to burn some gas.

It looked pretty flat out to me early in the day from what I saw! I hope someone got out of work and went. That's what I always say, better burning some gas than sitting on the trailer! Hope we hear something.

On Wednesday fished around Cape Henry light down to Va Beach waterfront. Saw some bait, no big-fish marks, no birds working. No hits, no runs, no errors.

Ocean was really calm, could run 32 mph with no problem. Re-entered Bay between 3rd-4th Islands. Within a mile or so heavy fog rolled in. Viz dropped to about 100 yards, had to navigate via GPS. No problems or excitement, just something I don't often have to do.

Thanks for posting your report. I have not been able to get out there but do enjoy the reports. I fish vicariously through others

Plenty of whales out there now. I'm seeing a bunch inside the bay this year near the bridge. More so then in prior years
