Any size to the Blues? If you want quality, go to cut bait. If nothing else, take a small blue and cut him into chunks.

    Nothing wrong with 15.

Blues will feed actively all winter. Small blues, those under about 10 pounds will do the shrimp and nightcrawler thing but the BIG fish want meat, gizzard shad being a favorite.

Any fish, the fresher the better, will work. Mullet from the asian markets, white perch, crappie, bluegill will all work.

Trim out all I mean ALL the dark meat from the filet for best quality.

To me anything over about 7-8 pounds has a stronger flavor, regardless.

Split the fillets in half to cut All of the dark meat out, blot them dry on a towel to get as much of the moisture out as possible and deep fry, very good.

They are also very good smoked
