Hard to believe middle of January had flat seas and almost 60*. Had to wait to leave house until about 9:30 am due to fog. Met TFer REM1224 ( Ralph ) at Sandy Point at 10:00. Only trailer there which surprised me.
We ran out to deep water and looked around for fish. Current was slack - outgoing soon started. We found a few fish on meter and set anchor. 7 inch white or green glitter Bass assassins on 3/4 and 1 oz heads - moved up to 1 1/2 oz as current got running. Not fast fishing - missed 3 for each one hooked. Fish were hitting hard for a change instead of normal - tick.
16 to about 20 inchers that are just fat butterballs.
Fished until about 3:00 - slight breeze was picking up. Forecast is for near gale tomorrow - gusts up to 35 knots with colder weather behind it.
