    Default 2/28/20 Fishing report

I know somewhere some one is catching perch. But all I'm catching is little yellow perch and a lot of small bass. When DNR stocked bass in Marshy Hope Creek, they must have dump them in the Federalsburg marina. The good yellow perch didn't show up in this area for me this year. Is it over, or can they still show up? Attachment 255187

They stock hatchery reared Bass at 10 in. They grow very slowly. It takes 4 years for a 12 in. Bass to grow to 15 in. in the Potomac River.I don't know how long it takes them to grow from 10 to 12 in. I would rather have snakeheads that grow much faster and are much more prolific and won't die from algae blooms and oxygen depletion .

    Andy,

I think they still have a chance to show up. The water is still cold enough for them, stick at it.

Thanks Mike! I have to stick with it. It 's all I know what to do. We do hit the casino once or twice a month, and go out to lunch at Jeff's Tap Room once a week. But fishing every morning. A lot of 6"yellows right now. I think the water temp. is 44-46 degree.----------https://tides4fishing.com/us/maryland/hillsboro

Felt really cold this morning with the wind. To cold for me. I didn't cast much, but when I did, all I caught was little 6" perch. BAD SLUMP!Attachment 255191

Hey Andy Catman here. Haven't visited here since I sold my boat. Lots of good folks here. BTW I think the YP run is a bust this year.

It's over. The commercials are catching small ones and they haven't caught their quotas yet. Average size is 3 per lb. whole.
