    I had good luck with my twin axel trailer, backing it in until the front of the wheel fender was just exposed, not under water. The boat was easy to hand winch, and came into the trailer straight. There will be a depth you sink your trailer which will work for you. Check your winch, it may be a two speed, try changing gears, to see which is easier.

    Lots of great suggestions and I greatly appreciate it. I have a much better understanding of how I need to approach leading the boat on the trailer.
