    Default Blood and Carnage...........Finally!

Pretty work on the fish and Thanks for the report!!! I was just curious... What induces the decision to fish water of that temperature and clarity? Are you marking fish, bait, birds, a temp. change?? After Kings and got lucky? I'm just wondering because generally we look for water over 65* when YFT hunting... We have fished the cool side of a break on many occaisions, but nothing near 62*.... THANKS for any input or light you can shed on this phenomena for me... Incidentaly, fishing out of Hatterras in May of '03... All the bites we got one particular day came on the cold, green side of a 70/66 break... 3 YFT's, 3 Mahi, and a Blue one... Go figure.......

Sorry for taking so long to respond, been fishing the past few days. Yesterday fishing was slower for us, with 9 yft I think it was? It was very picky fishing for most everyone we got real lucky and got 9 with one wack. Today was extreme fishing at its best. Winds 25-35 solid out of the s/sw seas I would call "BIG". We had six out of six sick people on the rig today, once we had a sea break over the side of the cabin and come through the side curtains on the bridge and soak the capt. he said crank em in. We caught 2 first thing and that was it. As I was crankin em in we started to get whacked, hooked 4, 1 was a wahoo bit through the 200# the other 3 tuna ,all pulled off. Bad luck. There were a few boats who managed some nice catches however of 12-20 tuna, right place right time and what we like to call lucky party. We fished the rocks the past few days. Decent mako bite a little to the north of there. Fished in blue/blue green water most guys that got em were with wamos. Going to have a cold beverage and relax from a whoopin.

Uhh, DJ, I'd say that's a LARGE wave. I'll bet that was fun.

    Nice work on the Tunas...

    ATTA WAY TP GO GUYS!!!!

WISH I WAS THERE WID YAH

    NICE WACKN N STACKN JOB!!

That should have been on the cold side of the water out ther. Right?

This time of year, at least up above the DMZ, the YFt I wackd n stackd were almost all on the cooler side of the water temps.
I think(?) that the water u fished in had a higher than average(depth) thermocline, than the surrounding warmer water temos. It's a guess only.
Any idea of what produced better than the rest of the rigs in your spread?
    What was in your spread?
I'm trying to keep tabs on what they hit when and where in the spread they hit it.
If I can garner enough info, I'll post the results for all to see.
Can u post apicture or two?

GARSH, I can hardly wait to get out there.
