To me it’s one of the great things about fishing. Options. Many baits to choose and many Lures plus many ways to use them. In addition I love to spend money. The options are endless.its a whatever floats your boat.

Mostly because people who use only lures look down on bait fishermen. That's all!........Gary
I have used night crawlers and grass shrimp before for perch. I mainly use Mepps spinning lures now because I cover more ground and you don't have to stop to keep re-baiting. I have live-lined the bay bridge twice over the past three years and enjoyed it but once again I enjoy throwing storm shads and top-water more. That's just my preference. To each their own.

I used to know a lot of LM bass fishermen. Some of them not only put bait fishermen but salt water fishermen too. I too’ one of these fools out to Hacketts one evening to top water for big blues. He hooked a blue around 15 lbs. on an Atom topwater plug. Took him a while to get it in. Afterwards I asked what he thought about the fight. He shrugged me off with it was ok. However, every time I talked to one of his bassin’ Buddies from his club they relayed how he hasn’t shut up about that f8sh. How it damn near wore his ass out. When I replied that he acted like it was no big deal to him. They’re reply was bull$hit.
I think fishing is where the term one up one ship originated.
All fishermen are liars except me and you. And I’m not sure about you.

Bass club tournament fishermen don't think like us fishermen. They say coming in second is like last place. I know, That is just one reason I gave up bass clubs and tournaments long ago. I say fish the way you want as long as it is not breaking the law.

I look down on bait fishermen. Just to be clear. And also trollers. Sometimes also fly fishermen, although only when they use sinking line.

1/12/23 Pretty good fishing day if you like pan fishing. John, thanks for the live minnows. Now I need some more live minnows. 4' under a bobber. --Damn! My fish got dirty. I don't like giving dirty fish away. No more pictures in the grass.

I've heard of (and used) "you should have been here yesterday", but "you should have been here tomorrow" is a new one... ;)
