The best way to catch crappie is a minnow under a bobber but some guys think using live bait is cheating. They think they are elite and only use lures. I use minnows!!!............Gary

Not sure why you felt compelled to say that. I use lures because I enjoy the challenge.

I have used night crawlers and grass shrimp before for perch. I mainly use Mepps spinning lures now because I cover more ground and you don't have to stop to keep re-baiting. I have live-lined the bay bridge twice over the past three years and enjoyed it but once again I enjoy throwing storm shads and top-water more. That's just my preference. To each their own.
