Artificials are more fun. But with live minnows I can cast out then sit in the warm car when it is cold and windy. A nice break from making a couple hundred cast.Minnows may catch more Andy but, as you well know, artificials are more fun! Thanks for the report.

Thanks Larry, I'm going to try to catch yellows again this morning to see if they are moving in or was I just lucky to catch a few yesterday morning.Nice going Andy, always nice too read your post.
I released all of them. If I'm lucky to catch some again I might give some to friends, or release. We only eat white perch fillet once in a while. Thanks!Andy are you cooking those yellows or giving them away? I remember you were giving some of the other catches to a guy that you know.
Dwayne, I had a good catch of yellow perch, I think it was last year with 2" crappie strips under a bobber in shallow water. But still live minnows are the best in my opinion.Andy, if the area you fish is relatively snag free try high low rig light 1/2 oz weight with gulp. You can drag really slow or shake in place for yellows. Cuts down on casting. But doesn't let you sit in warm car.
Rob, they always are moving up the rivers this time of year if they are moving. But I think some are still holding in deep water. I really don't know. Just my opinion.Which way do you think they're moving, upstream or downstream?
You are right about yellows and minnows. I've had my most success with yellows either close or right on bottom.Dwayne, I had a good catch of yellow perch, I think it was last year with 2" crappie strips under a bobber in shallow water. But still live minnows are the best in my opinion.
Thanks Andy. If you're out there Sunday I'll give you some minnows if you want some, we have 4 minnow buckets.Rob, they always are moving up the rivers this time of year if they are moving. But I think some are still holding in deep water. I really don't know. Just my opinion.
Eastern shore fisherman only eat white perch. We only eat white perch fillet once in a while. Thanks!
