Last minute decision to go out this AM. Promised my daughter lunch(Mcdonalds)at school at 12:45 and winds 10-15NE but what the heck. Ran out of Rudy at 9AM, Birds and boats a little N and E(2-3 miles out). Ran an Umbrella rig WWWWFB a stretch 30(Chartreuse) on one side and a 25(R/W) on the other. Only thing hit was the umbrella. Nothing huge but kept 2 fish 30- 33" threw the rest back. Not the monsters I was hoping for but plenty of cranking with the WWWWWFB lure. Made it to school at 12:50 with McDonalds and the boat but I made it!! Fishing 2 days in a row I am spoiled but I have to work the next 4 days so thats it till next week. Some of my best trips have been the one s that i squeezed in a day for a couple hours before work. There is something about a spontaneous trip you dont really have time for that makes you feel like your beating the system. If you good some good fish then its a super bonus. Good fishing and youll have something to daydream about at work now.
