You are a good man Skip and would help anyone and I can not understand why anyone would do such a thing to you. Makes no sense to me at all. Hope you catch them and prosecute them to the fullest.

I remember in your original tire puncture post that you said somebody may have had a petty reason, but to me, turning someone in for poaching is not petty.
I have received a larger fine for speeding than what some of these poachers are receiving. Until the courts start imposing the fines they should, it is petty.

did the reward just go up? I thought it was $1000 this morning. maybe dementia setting in early.

anyway, yeah poaching is wrong, but I watch the pound netter off my beach take his time culling his catch as he goes to his next net. warm summer day, it doesnt ake long for a juvenile rockfish to go brain dead/ die. result is on my section of beach, 100s of dead rockfish around 16inches was up. the beach is literally littered w/ them. this goes on all up and down the bay. flies get so terrible they will make you run for it. popster can verify. then, add the gill netters to the pic, and it makes one wonder what the damage a single guy w/ a hook and line can do.

Capt.Buckster - some very kind TFer's have pitched in to raise the reward fund.It really surprised me but then again-TFers are good folks.

Capt. George - the first punctures were in my rear dual tires- I just figured it happened at a job site.I often have to park near the dumpsters because my truck is wide/long.The boat and trailer is stored in a locked and alarmed garage so the only time the POS could get to it was at Sandy Point parking lot.I did not make a gas or ice/bait stop the days the trailer was hit.The guys who replaced my tires said it is very rare to get a side wall puncture - maybe once in a lifetime.Six in a two week period - 100% vandalism.

that is kind of them. hopefully, even if this doesnt draw out the offender, he/she will read this and back off.

you should buy a sticky in case they dont read TF everyday.

also, it just occurred to me that perhaps when you advertise for a Ho, you shouldnt mention the last part "outta brezzy", "outta sandy point", you may want to save those details for the bmail. that way the person doing this wont be 100% sure where you will be on a given date and time. I doubt they will drive to various ramps looking for you.

Hopefully, a person with knowledge will do the right thing and offer to testify without asking for money from you to do so.

Skip, I sent you a b-mail.

Wouldn't dream of taking a cent for helping out if I could. Besides being wrong, these acts are getting dangerous and could lead to a serious accident. My family and friends drive these very same roads and could someday become victims of this lunacy, so I'd be very happy for the idiot responsible to be caught.

Any addtional info that you can post about each incident would be a very good thing. The more details the better. Someone in the local rec. / comm. fishing or boating community knows the individual(s) who are doing this. With more information about the particulars, (when, where, how, time, day, etc.) somebody might be able to "connect the dots" and bring this to an end.

Good fishing and stay safe.

WiFiguy - not alot of details. The first puncture was an outside tire on the rear dual.I did not think much about it- just figured bad luck.A few days later - I had a front flat at Sandy Point. It was such a small hole- it took time to leak out.Next was an inside dual and the new outside. They punctured the new one twice. At first I thought it was happening at home or at the jobsite.

A few days later- while retrieving the boat- my son noticed bubbles coming up from a trailer tire - that told me it was happening at Sandy Point.

I'll tell you what I told the police- there is no one after me from work/home/ or anywhere else. The police even asked if I was cheating on my wife or girlfriend - tires being punctured is often due to bad relationships - I explained no.I would be man enough to take my medicine if I did someone wrong.

It seems to boil down to me taking out "HO's" and since I post alot- I've been targeted.Guess some charter captain or guide blames me for a slow season. One reason I'm fishing so much is my construction business is at a stand still. The TFers who fish with me are not likely to charter anyway - most own boats.I'm still leaning towards a poacher I turned in last summer- he launches from Sandy Point as well.

That's most of the details - always happened on weekdays-all on driver's side.My guess is they pull their truck next to mine so it does not raise any questions.

All I know is that everytime I see this post it turns my stomach. One man should not have to endure what you have Skip. It is dead wrong and it sucks. someone is very jealous of what you do. They need to grow up.
