Tunalunatic - thanks for expressing how I feel but the guys poking fun or highjacking are my friends. They are trying to cheer me up - in their weird way :D. Posting George Clinton - heaven help me :pp.

Ida Mae - it's not so much about 2 bushels of crabs and I would do it again. How can a person breaking the law get mad at someone who turns them in ????

Some info has came in that might break the case.I'll wait until the police can arrest the POS before I dare post anything but it looks to be a strong lead .
What Skip ? You don't like Parlimant Funkadelia ?:D Skip , as you know I am a notorious ball breaker , but all in good fun . If I were able to help you out in any way , you know I would . Now I just hope that the maniacal one will see that . By the way Skip , when are you gonna pick up a rod (LTJ):D , pin on a badge , leave those broom handles at home and become a true fisherman ?:D

:jackthread: - I'll let you in on a not so secret - secret.Years ago I was a light tackle junkie.I used 2 and 4 lb test and was hot and heavy after a world record.Tried for any fish that seemed open in "the book".Broke off more fish then you can imagine and even came close to getting my name in the book a few times.

Then I went offshore and got my a$$ kicked by a 180 lb Mako on 50 lb line in 4-5 foot seas. After fighting that fish - I gave up "playing" with light gear.Something about big fish and heavy tackle just feels right to me.

I still go LTJ now/then when bigger fish are around.

What "feels right" is the fact that you can get the fish to the boat . I love catching big fish on light tackle too , but also realize the fact that I might be doing more harm than good to the fish . I still however , cannot choose the size of fish that might hit my blood worm in 3 to 4 feet of water in the spring . I am a fisherman of opportunity and will use what ever means that are available at the time , including bait . I have been criticized for said practices . As usual , I am trying to start a little ruckus which is all in good fun . I wonder sometimes if good fishing folks like the esteemed Dr. Julie thinks about the possible damage she might do in her quest for world records on very light gear ? I have caught plenty of very big rockfish on light tackle , but most of them either swam away in good shape or ended up on the grill or in the frying pan .

hey skip , merely saying that not everyone has the same mentality...thats all...remember the kid on the playground...some people are different..one guy might not take offense on getting busted out....the next one might....i dont know ...puncture your tires maybe...know what i mean...no disrespect...not everyone see on the same level..thats all, i would have to think that anyone that gets "caught " doing anything wrong would get mad at getting "caught"...not a sermon , just a thought...Im Ida Mae ....and i approve this message:D:D
If you were held up a gunpoint, and $20 was taken from you, would you report it? It's only $20. What if the gun were not loaded?

What if it were 5 BU of crabs?

There was a post last winter (or maybe the year before, TF winters are starting to run together) of a 40in rock being caught and kept in the patapsco, is that reportable?

(Disclaimer: This is not a shot at Ida Mae but simply to further the conversation on if you observe an illegal act, is it reportable or should the degree if illegal activity be considered. Discalimer II: I have not seen 5BU of crabs illegally taken from they bay nor would I look for it as I am not familiar enought with the regulations.)

My Ford EXPEDITION was also vandalized at Sandy Point State Park on two seperate occasions just outside the ranger station and public bathrooms in June/July 2008. I have the exact dates if you need them. Three sides of my vehicle were keyed the first time and the 2nd time the front bumber/hood was taken care of. --including a graphic picture of what appeared to be an elephant or anteater. I contact the rangers and nothing was done. Both incidents were done between 7am-10 am.

I am sorry to hear you also had a bad experience.

shh, we all know there is only one victim. the thought a a person vandomly vandalizing vehicles at same location is absurd.

Not to understate the frustration of having a severely keyed car, but that sounds like a completely different class of vandalism than what Skip described. Maybe if it was just a punctured tire, bu the other stuff Skip mentioned strikes me as unusual and beyond vandalism.
