Met Capt. Pete,Gus and Ketchup at owl's creek at 4:30 (I was on time) Ketchup WAS NOT!! Headed out to some wrecks with a very pleasant light SW wind that allowed us to enjoy a quick ride to our first stop. The water had cooled down from 2 weeks ago and it showed with a SLOW Tog bite and not a single Bass not even a willie. (50 degrees to 45 degrees). After a few Togs in 2 hours it was time to try something else so we headed to deeper water to try and find a better temp.. Our second stop was a little better but still slow. Had a couple boats come in from the east with one gentleman on the Healthy Grin saying not much to the east except Dog's(THANKS FOR THE INFO!); That was going to be our next stop so we decided to run back north a little to a wreck we hadn't fished in a while and it was THE MOVE OF THE DAY!! We were welcomed with a steady bite of QUALITY Bass. The seas were building quickly and the wind was blowing worse so we headed to the barn. We ended up with 40 or so Bass, 3 Togs, a couple Hakes and one Blueline that was mixed in with the Bass. Captain Pete scored with a 5lb 2 oz Bass and I met one of my 2009 goals By FINALLY putting Gus on his FIRST SEABASS CITATION EVER!!!!! 5LB 12 OZS.( PINK FLOUNDER RIGS REALLY WORK DON'T THEY GUS!!)..:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
This is a BIG DEAL because for years with numerous citation Bass coming in the boat Gus has missed every trip; Even worse he has missed by 3ozs or less on multiple trips. Sorry no pictures; I have to add check camera batteries before I leave the house to my check list!! AWESOME DAY With good company and NEVER a dull moment with Capt. Pete on board!:D:D:D

Thanks for the report. We limited out on Togs but didn't see the first willy which was fine by me. When I stopped by to see Ketchup on Friday afternoon he was drinking a red grape mixture in a girly man glass. He swore it was Kool-Aid but I knew better.

First, I was TWO (2) minutes late! Second, wasn't Eddie Haskell that long blonde-haired Italian dude that the chicks swoon over (I was wondering why you guys started that, it all makes sense now). Third, Congrats on your big Bass Gus, you DEFINETLY put in the time for that one, WELL-deserved!!! Fourth, Critter and Holtz, I need to give you Billy's cell phone #, so you two can figure out the best time for the three of you to get together, car pool by my house and KEISH MIE AIZE!

Regardless of Capt Pete's yada yada yada, Jack's unexplained/sudden fear of catching a world record Snowy, and Gus' "it's all about me" to catch a piddly 6lb Willy, I still managed to have a most excellent fishing trip!

It was a nice change to be able to clean fish this morning, and only took an hour:clapping2:
