I dont' have your model but I do own a Trophy. From that standpoint, I love my 2052 WA. My only problem with the boat is the lack of organized Tackle storage. There just isn't any built in. Other than that, the boats are well built, ride well and reasonably dry. Probably best overall bang for the buck out there. Just my .02.

 

Worked on them, sold them, sea trialed them and fished em many times. It's a real good boat. It is best equipted with twins but one screw works well to. I've had it in pretty choppy seas and no complaints from me. Good luck

 

225 seems a little small for that boat, I had a 2302 with a 225 and it topped out around 31 knots, the extra footage and weight of the 2509 might be much but I could be wrong....you can't go wrong with a trophy, they are great boats!

 

I pesonally love my trophy. It is a great platform for the bay:clap::clapping2:

It will fish 4 people with ease and mine runs an easy 35 mph

My 2509 has a 225 EFI saltwater and I cruise 28-30 knts @ 4600-4800 and wot is about 36 knts. Boat will keep you dry and handels seas well. I have no complaints about the boat. Holds 147 gallons. They are great boats.
