Just an fyi, for you gun junkies out there. Remington's 2009 products are available for view on line. Go to Remington - Home of America's Oldest Gunmaker and select products. A few new interesting items offered this year, including a limited edition .257 Roberts!

That is very cool, I am a big fan of the .257 Roberts and it's exciting to see that cartridge making a comeback!
What "common" caliber is a .257 Roberts somewhat comparable to?

I have a Rem 742 in 308 that's a lot of fun to shoot. Not the most accurate (I think the barrel is pretty worn!) but still a lot of fun. Soft shooter.

From Wikepedia. Google .257 Roberts. Check out reloading tables from Hogdon, Speer, etc. online.

Hope this helps

I have an old Remington in .257 Roberts that's been passed down through my family. The gun means a lot. Anyway, I hope it does make a come back in a way. If it does the ammo will be much easier to buy for it. I've only ever seen .257 Roberts ammo on a store shelf in 2 locations - Bass Pro and the BP gas station in Augusta, WV.
