Gonna be trollin my bro-in-laws 30' 2000 Grady with twin OX66 250's this year for rockfish. we fished the boat offshore last year but not the bay. I understand that all boats run a bit differently but was curious if you are able to troll one motor at rockfish speeds (2.5-3) with this rig or are we going to have to drag a drift sock? Boat is still on the hard but this has come up several times recently in our rockfish planning conversations.

Thanks in advance.

I've got a 89Grady White Marlin that was there 28' then, but the hull length is 30'. In 2006 it was restored with twin 250 hp etecs. Your boat likely weighs a bit more than mine if it is like the current 30Marlins. I have no problems trolling at 2.5 to 3 or even slower. Obviously you may use only one engine sometimes.
