Launched at 0630, ran out to our new spot. Got in, nothing but big Channel cats, then all hell broke loose. In the space of 30 minutes me caught 15 nice perch, we kept 3 Channel cats and a small Blue cat. The pups really like Channel cat so they get a treat for being good boys.

Forgot that on the way back The Choptank was like a washing machine. Some days you're the windshield, some days you're the bug. There was a 2' chop on the river. It was no bueno in a 16' Jon boat.

Will provide an upper mid bay report. Bait shop told me today the bite was north due to dolphins.

There were a few pods of dolphins in The Choptank too. One of the crabbers was saying they were all over the river last week.

Fished the Wee Tank saturday morning. Had a great time on topwater before the wind got rank. Even though we were able to find some lee, the wind was whipping around enough that the boat was all over the place. Got a new trolling motor still in the box and was cussing myself for not installing it yet.

Dolphin were pushing well into the creeks on the little tank last week. There are a LOT of dolphin around.

We were on the "Tank" last Thursday; SE winds were awful then storm hit, took refuge at Dock's, slip the boat and sat @ the bar. The storm pasted manage limit of Rock and enough Perch to save the morning. The Perch were on the small side, 8",9" & 10" range so should improve next few weeks.

I couldn't imagine how bad the little one was yesterday. Might try a day at Stinky pier this weekend if the weather cooperates.
