Tommy:

thats quite a catch. Who long was it ? Did you weigh it ?
Or estimate ? What time of day was it ? Had you fished this pond much before ? What kind of spinnerbait ? What kind of line and what pound test was it Tommy ?

Someone doen't catch a 9 pound bass that often. ( I never have).
A table of bass lengths /weights says that a 9 pound bass would be and estimated 22 to 25 inches in length.

I'll try to answer your questions:

How long was it? By measure of my foot, I estimate it to be over 23 inches

Did you weigh it? YES

What time of day was it? ABOUT 2 PM

Had you fished this pond much before? YES. I'VE CAUGHT SEVERAL LARGE FISH IN THIS POND, BUT NEVER THIS BIG.

What kind of spinnerbait? 1/2 OZ Chartreuse and White w/Gold Willow Blades

What kind of line and what pound test was it Tommy? 12 lb TEST. STREN CLEAR

It's my biggest Bass ever! Tommy

Don't mind divulging at all. READY? A private farm pond in Pungo (South Virginia Beach). I've caught several bass over six pounds in small ponds in VA BCH. Make sure you get permission from the owners and you'll hook up! (This particular pond is a friend's)

Hey there. Nice name. My last name is Griffiths too.

Nice bass. A largemouth that size would be a good time killer when the ocean is blowing 20 mph out of the north east.
