I got this idea from a fella on utube called the old fishermen. I added Mustard to my white perch fillets. I am not a mustard fan but I will admit it added a good taste. I went lite this time but next time I'll give it a good coating. Along with the Mustard I added Flour and Panko bread crumbs. Not all fillets in this picture had Mustard but you get the idea.

I always add mustard to my egg dredge as well as mayonnaise.

Many chefs use mustard as a sticker for rubs and other coatings. It is said that it doesn't add taste or flavor.. I prefer just a fine coating of flour and Old Bay. I keep it light as to taste the fish and not the coating.......... Gary

I add the liquid mustard to my egg dredge, you can rub it on the fillets if you want.

I honestly do not think that fried food is bad for you with the caveat that one uses good oil and that it is at the proper temp before dropping whatever you are frying into the bath.

Plain old refrigerator Mustard.

Gary, I could defiantly taste the difference and it didn't hide the fish flavor at all.

I bake 90% of my fish. I grill the taco meat. The ONLY seafood I refuse to bake is calamari. My Eyetalian friends would kick my ass if I baked calamari, lol.

I've had calamari, as well as cuttlefish (and other assorted yummy ocean things) in Venice, Bari, and Trieste, and I'm only a little Italian, even though my last name is.

I sautéed a rockfish filet I caught yesterday in butter with lemon pepper seasoning last night. Came out incredibly tasty............Gary

Has anyone tried to dip and air fry fish filets? I like oil fried but gives me acid.

I do it all the time. For a zero carb breading crush up a bag of pork rinds. One tip though, after you dip and batter put them in the freezer till slightly frozen. Makes handling in, out and flipping a lot easier
