anchor chain/line?

Is someone please tell me if there is a special way to make this connection and still use my windlass? I read somewhere to use 2 of the 3 strands through the last link, then splice them back into the line, but the resulting connection does not fit through the windlass.

I asked many manufacturers at the Miami Boat Show and they were clueless.

Any and all suggestions are certainly welcome. Thanks in advance.

Chain splice

I suggest you use a chain splice and feather the ends of the strands with scisssors and then start your splice. I'm a boatswainsmate and that is the only way you can get around that issue using three strand.:rockon:

The Chain Splice - duh. I feel pretty stupid.
