Crabbed closer to home this weekend. Went to an early season spot which was a large flat with deep water access on the main river. Tried my snood line with necks. Crabs were there in numbers but many white bellies, caught a few rusty crabs too and a few doublers. Layed my line tring to cover differant depths started in 10' and ran up into 3'. Noticed I was catching more in the 4'-8' range so I moved the line a little(drug it). BIG MISTAKE. I spent the next 20 minutes taking grass off just about every other snood. I hadn't seen grass in that area in years. It's a great sign and I can't wait to fish it (saw lots of good marks in 10-15' off the edge of the flat) but it was a pain in the a$$ as crabbing goes. Hope you all had a good weekend. By the way, Sunday was spent attedning my Grandparents 50th Anniversary; damn that's a long time, so congratulations to them.
