I had the day off, so two buddys and I went out for some fun fishing in the ICW.
Long story short,,,,about 30 trout were caught while using the Berkley Gulp Alive shrimp. We also boated a few small red drum.

Just as you said the action is great down there. I had a slow day today but it was a nice day.

Rick, Jay Jones here in VA. Just getting back into fishing with a friend from work. We went earlier in Dec and boated some 40" rocks. Going again tomorrow and hope to get into them again. Let me know if you make it up to VA.

what kind of hook u got in the gulp?

looks like plain hook (trailer) or is that got lead melted in on the shank somewhere?

I use this hook when I have the shrimp under a rattle float. Its the same hook you will find in a DOA shrimp. You can buy them separately. If you look close you can see the barbs on the shank that help hold the bait on. I think they are made by EagleClaw.



Here is the hook I use in the jerk shad, and when I'm trowing the shrimp by itself.
