We fished 12/23 with original plans to fish Cape Henry until I saw capt jakes report from 12/22. Thanks capt Jake! We were cruising to Damneck as everyone must have had the Christmas spirit and were all over the radio urging people to head south a few miles out from Rudee. This was one day where it paid off to chase radio fish!;-) Got to the spot and birds were working as far as you could see and fish rolling on the surface. Didn't take long and fish were hitting on all the rods. A great time working the chaos and nailing 20-30 pound stripers! Most all of the action was coming off anything chartreus and especially the tomic behind a mojo. The biggest fish hit the big spoon way back. Great to see boats working together and didn't even hear any cussing all over the radio about people crossing people's lines. Also was surprised to see how long the action continued even with all the pressure from a fleet of boats. Bite finally seemed to slow in the early afternoon and we called it a day and made a nice ride back to East Beach Marina. Great day!
