Not necessary - just flush it out good with fresh water and store it with the engine in the full down position - all the water will drain out so freezing won't be a problem

Most don't and have no trouble.If you are going to lay the boat up all winter-it sure would not hurt to run anti freeze in the motor.Boater's World sells a kit that goes right on the flushing muffs and makes it a 10 minute job.

If you do not use anti freeze-take time to trim the motor up/down 3-4 times and allow it to drain.Some water gets trapped if you do not trim it fully down.

You'll often see a few drips after you trim it the first few times.Be sure to store the motor in the down postion.
