Not sure if you are "trolling" but here goes.

The outflow can be fished anytime. The in take area right in front of the plant is off limits at all times. There are small white markers in a line - similar to 6 knot markers.Do not go inside these for any reason.

If you are new to the outflow - PLEASE come in very slowly the last 1/4 mile or so.Watch for a few minutes how the boats are drifting.DO NOT anchor in there- might lose your anchor to a snag plus will ruin the drifting for others.

Be sure to shut off your motor when drifting.

It is a very tough place to fish - expect to lose a lot of jigheads. You'll need braided line and 1 1/2 oz heads.

Most guys there are friendly - at the very end of the drift - ask for some advice from the "pros" who fish there a lot.

Be sure your boat/motor are 100% - it can be a long tow back.

Skip: Thanks for the feedback. No troll intended on my part. I can't help how others may perceive it. Just looking to expand my horizons. When I was down that way in December trolling, didn't see any sign of the outflow (no signs of current or boats). Now I have the GPS coordinates, so at least I'll find it. Thanks again.

Just to add a little to what Skip (27 Sailfish) said, come in with your bow at idle. On your approach, kill the engine before you get to the edge of the outflow. Do not go into the heart of the current. Doing so will scatter the fish. Some of the guys that fish there are "Deliverance" scary and I wouldn't want to be the one to scatter the fish!
