I was their Saturday afternoon and there was a descent crowd. I talked to a few salesman and they all said sales were slow. One thing for sure the price for new boats are high, but I guess the cost to prodcue them goes up every year. I have had the itch to get something else but I think I'll keep what I have at least for another year.

There was a decent crowd yesterday, there were some AWESOME deals, but it was disappointing in that I went to see a specific boat that was not there...did fall in love with the 34 Parker though! Trying to get a contingent to chip in on one...ha:thumbup:

I went Friday after work- man I felt sorry for the salespeople working- it was dead!! Did like that parker though Baldzilla!! Two Regulators- that is it- you would think they would have brought the new models- $88,000 for a 23 foot ragulator(included electronics package) man that is steep.

Mike, we got there just after you left, around 2-5...I was the guy chasing a screaming (happy) 2 year old yelling Boat, Boat, Boat...Ride Ride Ride...

Brian, If I could get a group to buy it, I'd order it!!!

I made the mistake of telling one of the salesmen that I'd buy his boat if they threw in the 14 Penn Internationals and he said, We'll do it! Really tough market!

Went friday afternoon and it was very slow. The 34' parker is one he!! of a boat but the second station behind the cabin on the left seemed pointless.
I agree with that...I actually asked the salesman, and he said you really should never run the boat from that, and I asked him then what's the point...he said you could see through the front windshield but not safe to run. Nice as hell though!

Went Friday afternoon to avoid the crowds and it worked beautifully.

The 35' Everglades was a work of art. It's sick when the price reduction on that boat for the show is more than I can afford outright. $75K reduction for the show. Ouch. The finish on the livewell looked like a hot tub.

Think I need to stay in the 21' Carolina Skiff range from Ed's.

One question, how do you mount rod holders on a DLV?

Those Everglades are pretty sweet. One of the boats on the short list if I ever decide to more up. I really like the 243cc. They seem to be well thought out boats.

That 35 everglade was amazing. If I sold my house............ OOPS, back to reality. 5th (Marty)
I'd have to sell my house 3 times. Once to pay off the mortgage and twice to buy the boat.

I was there from 1 until 4. I looked at a few boats. I really liked the Parkers. If I decide to buy another boat, I may upgrade to a Parker with a cabin. There is something appealing about the way the boat is configured.

I listened to some hot tub salesman tell a guy "Yeah, a hot tub on the boat will feel really good after a dive."

My biggest disappointment of the day was when I arrived. For the past four years the admission to the show came with a free subscription to a magazine. I got "Motor Boating" each year. This year "Motor Boating" was not one of the offered subscriptions. I got "Saltwater Fisherman" instead.

I did pick up some blue and gold floating dock lines. I can't wait to use them. Two months and we will be prepping for spring trophy season.

I've been working that show for 20+ years. Every year (even in boom years) it has been slow during the week. This year was no exception. But the weekend had very good traffic. I only sold two boats but was happy to do so.

The folks who put on the Baltimore Show do a very good job. I think it looked great. I also think that the public got to see plenty of boats in all categories. And there were alot of accessories to see and buy. It was a little bit smaller than last year, but not much(especially compared to other shows around the country). And yes, there were some great deals to be had.

Contrary to what has been said earlier in this post, the 3420XL Parker is still available. And if we sell her I'll bet we can get another.

Ladies and Gentlemen do not despair. The current crisis will pass. The day will soon come when we once again are more worried about the velocity of the wind, the time of the tide, and the young of the year!

I'm looking at the 21 DLV too. Did Beacon Light have one at the show ? Did anybody get a price from them ? Last year, Ed's quoted me $17.5K for boat, motor, and trailer w/ a 115 Suzuki. I understand that they upgraded the standard trailer since last year and they went to the 140 Suzi as the standard, but I haven't gotten a recent price.

My intention for rod holders is to get a stanless steel "arch" built for the back that has rod holders and a ski tow hitch on it. Four rod holders on there and 3 on the console rail, and I think I'd have a decent trolling spread.
